Shopping / Commerce

Conveniently located just 10 minutes from Sparta, BonK KnoB Shoals has access to Walmart, major grocery stores, and other fine retail establishments. 25 minutes down the road in Cookeville you will find the warehouse type stores and large restaurant chains, movie theaters, shopping malls, etc. Nashville at it's finest is less than 100 miles away down Interstate 40, which you catch in Cookeville.

Medical Facilities

Cookeville has excellent facilities, as does Crossville, 18 miles East on I-40. Sparta has a great medical facility, and is only 15 minutes away. Private practices are plentiful in the surrounding towns and cities.

Outdoors / Recreation

Southeast Tennessee is a sportsmans paradise and this region in particular embraces the lifestyle with vigor. Hunting and fishing are local favorites because of the environment readily available to us. Golf here is exceptional with courses seeing far less pressure than most,and far more economical to play here than elsewhere. There are many courses to choose from within an easy drives distance. The course at Fall Creek Falls State Park has been voted in Golf Digest amongst the top public courses several times since the 80's, and is kept in superb condition. Golf in Crossville

Incidentally, Sunday drives are a very pleasant diversion around here. You'll be hard pressed to find an ugly stretch of highway in Tennessee. Discovering the rural communities scattered around the Cumberland Plateau will takes years of Sundays.
